Shift advance for nurses and nursing technicians

Almost everything published about shift advance talks about doctors. But the people who keep the roster of a hospital, an urgent-care unit or a home care service running are also nurses and nursing technicians, with 12- and 24-hour shifts, night and weekend shifts, paid at the month-end close. TCI's shift advance works for the whole healthcare team that works as a legal entity (PJ), and this article explains how it works for nursing.

Nurses and nursing technicians can advance shifts too
On TCI's platform, the criterion is not the profession: it is the shift, worked by someone who works as a legal entity (PJ). If you work as a PJ, you worked the shift and the institution logged it, the amount shows as available in the app and can be advanced, whether you are a nurse, a nursing technician, a doctor, a physiotherapist or any other healthcare professional. There is no version for doctors and another for nursing: it is the same app, the same flow and the discount is calculated the same way, proportional to the days until the next payment window.

Which nursing shifts can be advanced
Shifts already worked and logged by the institution on the platform. In practice, this includes:
- 12-hour and 24-hour shifts in hospitals, emergency rooms and urgent-care units (UPAs);
- night and weekend shifts;
- shifts in the ICU, wards, clinics and health plans;
- shifts in home care and in cooperatives and staffing companies that use the platform.
What does not qualify: a shift that has not happened yet or that the institution has not logged yet. As soon as it is logged, the amount becomes available.

What about physiotherapists and other professionals?
The same rule applies to physiotherapists with shifts in the ICU, wards and home care, and to dentists, psychologists, nutritionists, pharmacists, biomedical scientists, radiology technicians and any other healthcare professional who works as a PJ and has a shift logged by the institution. PIX to your account
The PIX is generated automatically. For requests made by 1 p.m., the amount lands in your registered account the same day, by 6 p.m.; after 1 p.m., on the next business day, by 6 p.m. The 1 p.m. cut-off may vary by institution. Brasília time.

How much it costs
The cost is the discount: a deduction proportional to the days left until the next payment window. The closer to the window, the smaller the discount; the larger the amount advanced, the larger the discount in reais. There are no installments or interest running afterwards: the deduction is single and appears before you confirm. Interest rates are defined according to the credit analysis performed. To estimate with your shifts, use the simulator with the average value of your shifts.

An institution that offers the benefit
The advance happens in the institution's app, under its brand and with TCI's capital. The hospital, clinic, cooperative or staffing company needs to have the platform active.
Work as a legal entity (PJ)
Shift advance is for professionals who work as a PJ at the institution.
A logged shift
What you advance is the shift already worked and logged; the transaction does not use up your credit limit.
An account to receive the PIX
The amount lands in the account registered in the app.
There is no need to go to a branch, talk to a manager or hand over paperwork: the process is 100% digital.

Not a loan, not an HR salary advance
Advancing a shift already worked means assigning an amount that is already yours: you receive it up front, minus the discount, and take on no debt. Nothing is recorded as debt under your CPF and no credit limit is used. It is also different from asking your coordinator or HR for a salary advance: it does not depend on anyone's approval, does not come out of the hospital's cash and is not treated as an exception. You solve it on your own in the app, as many times as you need.

What if my hospital does not offer it yet?
Shift advance only works at institutions that use TCI's platform. If your hospital, clinic or home care service does not offer it yet, you can refer it: in the form on the Shift Advance page, choose the subject “Advance my own shifts” and send it; it opens WhatsApp with the message ready. For the institution, the benefit does not change the payment flow or use its cash, and those who advance tend to stay and take on more shifts; TCI presents the product, the cost model and the pilot in a 30-minute conversation.

Frequently asked questions
Can a nursing technician advance a shift?
Yes, if they work as a legal entity (PJ). Any healthcare professional who works as a PJ and has a shift worked and logged at an institution that uses TCI's platform can advance: nurses, nursing technicians, physiotherapists, doctors and others.
Do night and weekend shifts qualify?
Yes, as long as they have already been worked and logged by the institution. The type of shift does not change the rule; what matters is the record.
Do I need my supervisor's approval to advance?
No. With the shift logged and available in the app, you choose how much to advance, sign digitally and the PIX is generated without going through a manager, HR or coordination.
How much does it cost to advance a nursing shift?
